Don’t forget about the birthday fundraiser. Holidays can be extra hard for those suffering with depression, especially those with suicidal thoughts. These veterans need someone to reach out to when they are ready. Hopefully they make the call. The original goal has been met but that doesn’t mean you can’t still donate!

Remember holidays can be hard for anyone, but for a veteran struggling who may not have a family or want to share his or her pain with a friend, they can seem unsurvivable, even to a combat veteran. Farscape fans —- the OzScape event for March is suffering from lack of interest. Those of you Down Under are you not interested in general in a Farscape Con? The rest of us it is far and requires a bit more planning and expense but without some ticket interest they can’t really plan an event —- choosing a venue or signing guests. Let them know at Culture Shock Events —
Thanks for all that have donated for the fundraiser! We are already close to our goal for a great cause! Hopefully we can surpass it and give Ben something to smile about!! As of Sunday evening his home is okay but they are still evacuated. Check here for donation details!
A couple of updates. First Ben and his household have safely evacuated their home which is in an area threatened by fire. They join tens of thousands of Californians in the fire’s possible path.
Secondly tomorrow, Veteran’s Day in the US and Armistice Day in Europe/Canada, starts the Birthday Fundraiser. This year we are supporting Stop Soldier Suicide , a small but national group. This is a cause close to Ben’s heart. I have put the target at $556 as it is his 56th birthday. The page will be open for donations until December 10th at midnight. So please donate.
Lastly Ben was scheduled to do some filming with Outlaws and Angels writer/director JT Mollner this weekend for an undisclosed project (according to JT’s Twitter). As both of them evacuated their homes yesterday not sure if this will happen.

I started this webpage after the first Farscape Con in 2000. It has been 18 years this week. I was a fairly jaded soCal fan who was wowed by this group of actors,writers, and directors. Here is the video of the 2 days which is only a glimpse!

Many fans requested a dvd of their entire panel which ran a bit over an hour but FedCon 2013 only released this compilation. The room was packed, standing room only and it was late at night as the costume contest went way over. I am hoping they will appear together at a 20th Anniversary con next year! Here is a taste of what you can expect if they do — they were on stage close to 90 minutes with the cleaning crew waiting (thanks to VinegarDog for the reminder!) :
