Greetings from London! There is still no confirmation on whether Ben will be giving a talk at London Film and Comic Con this weekend. If he does I will live tweet it. Follow @Action_John on Twitter — I will post any news there. In the meantime here is a picture I took in 2006 outside London’s Central School of Speech and Drama where Ben studied after graduating from Furman University.
Getting ready for London Film and Comic con! My Ben photo tickets have arrived!! Action John will be photo- opping with Gillian Anderson and Janet Fielding (she was Tegan Jovanaka companion to the fourth and fifth doctors). I will probably choose another when I am there as they have added some more guests. I am going to attempt to tweet any talks Ben participates in — I will post more details next Friday.

I have been working alot lately but do want to let everyone know I am going to the London Film and Comic Con. Apparently no filming allowed so I will attempt to tweet Ben’s talk(s?). I know there will be some Scapers I know there but hope to meet more! I am going to try and do a daily photo on Tumblr (follow benbrowder.net ) I find Tumblr a seductive world of creativity that can turn me into a couch potato! I started a Pinterest board(?) for Ben here . I love Farscape video and before youtube, there was Dallascaper’s site so check it out if you haven’t already.

If you are attending San Diego Comic Con this July and want a chance to VIP screening tickets for Ben’s upcoming film Bad Kids Go To Hell go here. As the schedule becomes available there should also be info regarding any other SDCC activities such as panels or booth appearances . Screenings don’t always require SDCC badge when they are held at an outside location so if you live near and aren’t attending you can still enter for a chance to win screening tickets.
Don’t forget Ben will be at the London Film and Comic Con July 8-9. The site says no filming but I am hoping to try and tweet his talk(s).
I am a fan of The Hunger Games trilogy. I felt Ben would have made an awesome Haymitch. Mockingjay.net is doing fan casting of Plutarch currently. Could totally buy Ben as Plutarch ! Wishful thinking but he is doing Dr. Who which was previously wishful thinking 🙂 This would be great exposure. Bad Kids Go to Hell being shopped at Cannes may also provide some exposure with the new respect (of sorts) that comics/graphic novel based properties are getting. I am still skeptical of the use of social media by studios but they may glance at numbers so remember to visit Ben pages on Facebook, tag your Tweets and Tumblr as well as any networks that have public access!
Ben’s upcoming film, Bad Kids Go To Hell, is headed to the Cannes Film Festival later this month! The international rights have been purchased by Red Sea Media. The film will make it’s U.S. debut at he San Diego Comic Con in July. These are both great venues for small films to debut. No word on whether Ben will attend either event at this point.
Great report from the Oz Comic Con as yet again Ben charms! Some nice pictures as well featuring the Dr. Who moustache, which having been in college in the 70’s and a Magnum PI fan, I sort of like it 🙂

If you ever have the chance to see Ben in person do it! Having spent most of my life in southern California I admit to being a bit jaded about “celebrities” and Ben continues to defy stereotype. I first saw him in 2000 and little has changed. Yes I know he is a good actor but not all actors can pull off con stage appearances and keep it fresh and genuine. His love of Farscape and respect of the fans continues to impress me.
