I saw The Hunger Games last Friday—-amazing page – to -screen journey! That said I still think Ben would have made an AWESOME Haymitch. On to reality 🙂 The Dr. Who Series Series 7 Official trailer was released by BBC America and we get a glimpse of Ben! 2012 is shaping up good for him with the upcoming release of Bad Kids Go To Hell and Dr. Who for starters! I don’t know that I fully buy into studios actually watching things like IMDB,com’s starmeter or Facebook “Like”s but it only takes a second to visit Ben’s page .

I get alot of visitors from Australia and would love to hear from any of you who see Ben in Adelaide next weekend !

While we wait for news of Bad Kids Go To Hell —-this is from one of my favorite early Ben roles , Nevada, a small film worth watching.

Exciting news about the premiere of Bad Kids Go To Hell , the upcoming film in which Ben has a small but important role. BKGtH is a example of  the studio using social media in the right way. They launched the sites just before filming started so there was a product in place. I was unaware of this graphic novel but it seems they built on the book site successfully with the film. Hustled it at San Diego Comic Con and some other conventions.  The numbers I can see on Facebook and other sites seem to be growing. The producers have made good use of youtube. Big studios need to take note.

Also a nice Farscape retrospective here.

CORRECTION OF SORTS : According to director Matt Spradlin  the event in the above link is not a traditional premiere –it is a showing of the completed project to the cast and crew. So I assume this means it is not a press event so we won’t be seeing coverage or reviews.

I am awaiting the numbers from Chuck‘s finale episode. There was a surge for the episode Ben appeared in which I want to believe is because of the Ben fans who had not previously watched Chuck  😆  The final “actual” ratings will be out Friday.

I asked @MediaSavantGF if last week’s episode of Chuck had an increase in ratings. Farscape fans remember Media Savant as being an industry voice and a fan from the campaign to save Farscape. She responded with the numbers. Interesting the big increase. Hmmmmm I want to think it had to do with Ben Browder fans (many admitting to never having watched before).  Tonight is the 2 hour finale which also will likely have higher numbers but I will be curious.

Ben Browder’s role on Chuck was smaller than his fans would have liked BUT we got our favorite actor on screen! Other pluses: Josh Scwartz and Chris Fedak(producers) are good guys to know. Chuck is cancelled but is a critical favorite somewhat so there will be press mentions such as this one from the Boston Herald .  Ben has often spoken about the fickleness of the industry and nothing is certain until you actually see it(and the escrow check clears!). He has a couple of exciting projects “in the works” that we know of—Freeze Frame 4 Vets and Naught For Hire.  Until then, having Ben working on a show produced by someone with a current successful scorecard like Josh Schwartz is hopefully a platform to show other producers and finance people who he is now. Chuck features three other over 40 actors—- Ben showed nicely next to them. Is the superficial? Yes. Is the industry superficial? Yes.  Many Ben fans are criticizing the script and waste of  their favorite. It is important to see this appearance for what it is. Being a Chuck fan as well I loved it! Leave comments at NBC, chucktv.net and any other sites discussing the ep!

Sorry about the lack of updates or anything! I have been working alot and trying to confirm some things. There is alot of confusion about Ben not being listed in the promo for Chuck #511. Robbie McNeill answered my Twitter question regarding it but still trying to confirm.
